aaa ce rated, is there anything that matters more? ah yes, style ;)
the quality of this protective garment is unsurpassed. i really commend fuel for offering a women's version of this pant. so many times i am disappointed when a women's version of a product gets offered that is just a substandard downsized version of the men's. that is not the case here. the detailing is really beyond anything i've seen for moto gear or otherwise.
i am 5'6" 130lb and generally wear a women's size 8 (which tends to be a little roomy) - this size 8 leaves no room to spare :) it's quite snug in the hip/seat for me, but i expect that will loosen up a bit in time. one note, despite the tightness in the hips, the back of the waistband of the pant has a substantial gap for me... not sure what's up with that, maybe i'm a weird shape or something, but the quality of this garment is such that i won't be returning it over that issue.
also wanted to note that the inseam on these is LONG. at 5'6" (and with short legs) i'm probably going to need to get these hemmed up about 3-4"!!!
i would also recommend that you insert the armor while the pants are off. i badly scratched up the back of my hand on the hook and loop closure when trying to fit the knee pads while these were on :P fool me once... lol
anyway, this is really an amazing product overall. i'm extremely happy with my purchase. and bonus points as they also throw in a drawstring stow bag so you can keep the pants and armor together! great job fuel, i hope to see your women's line expand!
These pants are impressive! The fabric is super strong and durable feeling. They look amazing and I feel like they would protect well with in the event of a slide. For sizing purposes I would say these run small. I am a 5’3 lady at 122 pounds. I typically wear a women’s 4 here in the US, maybe a 6 if sizing up for armor. I measured my own pants at home and followed sizing chart and reviews. By these criteria I ordered a size 8 on Fuel website. These pants were way too small. There is ZERO stretch in these pants. Which is probably part of why the fabric is so protective:) I have a thin build but with some curves in hip and butt. I could not get the 8 up over my hips at all. Fuel was happy to remedy this for me and I paid return shipping and they covered shipping on the next size up shipping out to me. When I got the 10 they slid on with minimal effort, and fit well, if even still a little snug. I have been wearing them for several days around the house and feel like they may be softening up a little. I do have that annoying extra fabric gaping at the back by the belt loops, but as a typical woman with a curvy booty this is a typical problem:) Overall I am very pleased and feel like it was a great investment in protecting myself while getting my wind therapy! Fuel also threw in a free pair of Rodeo Gloves!
